The name “Chi Alpha” is derived from Paul’s teaching in 2 Corinthians 5:20 where he encourages us to be Christ’s Ambassadors which is acronym-ed by the Greek letters Chi and Alpha! Although we may sound like a fraternity or sorority, we are not. We are a University group that worships the God of the Bible, follows the teachings of Jesus and functions from the goodness of the Holy Spirit. We work hard to create safe and authentic spaces for college aged people to encounter God for themselves and then be His ambassador to the world!
This means that you (YES, YOU!) are exactly the kind of person we want in Chi Alpha!
Whether you're currently taking classes, working full-time, or taking a gap year, if you're in this stage of life, you belong here—you don't have to be actively enrolled in college to be a part of our community. No matter your background, your story, or where you're at on your faith journey, there is a seat at the table with your name on it.
We want you to truly know and experience God’s love for you in a real, life-changing way. Here, you’ll find an authentic environment where you can ask down-to-earth questions, process life’s big moments, and figure things out at your own pace. Most importantly, you won't have to do it alone—you'll find your people, build lifelong friendships, and belong to a community that genuinely has your back!
If you were to get involved in any one thing, we would definitely encourage you to join CORE GROUPS! These are intentional groups of Men or Women who meet weekly to talk about life, study and apply the Bible together, and pray earnestly for one another. If you are looking for genuine friends who will stand by your side and support you through any situation, joy, or challenge, getting involved in a core group is a wonderful step to take!

We gather together every week to worship God, listen to an inspiring and uplifting teaching from the Bible, and pray sincerely for one another’s needs and challenges. You don’t need to believe everything we believe in order to join us. Everyone is welcome to come and hear the good news of Jesus for themselves!
